Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azule Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Azule Le is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aaron Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Azule Le!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Le misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lee slaps away a takedown attempt from Le, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Le moves out of range as Lee throws a body kick.
Le shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lee sprawls well. Lee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Le gets slowly back to his feet.
Aaron Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Azule Le.
Lee throws the kick towards the body but Le avoids it.
Lee leaves Le with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Le drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lee dives on top into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee pushes down on Le's leg and manages to get into half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lee throws a head kick but Le moves out of range.
Lee goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Le is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lee sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Both fighters circling a little - Lee finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Lee fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Le on the side of the head.

Le drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lee looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lee looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lee!

Lee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Le moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Le is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lee is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lee has escaped and now he's on top!

Le has his feet on Lee's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Aaron Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Le counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lee!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Le with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Le swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lee is now in Le's guard. A big mistake from Le there, giving up the dominant position!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lee makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Azule Le showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Lee gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Le gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lee.
Lee digs a right hand underneath Le's ribcage. Le let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Le pulls guard successfully.
Lee passes Le's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Lee blocks the strikes from Le.
Lee seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Le is looking to control Lee's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Le avoid being mounted?

Lee is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Le gets back to full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lee missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lee pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Lee - that will leave a mark!
Lee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Le misses with a takedown attempt
and Lee counters with an outside leg kick.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up but Le swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Le as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aaron Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lee is pressed up against the cage. Le has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lee down to the mat. Lee avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Lee moves in looking to clinch but Le pushes him off.
Azule Le seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee shoots in for a double leg but Le sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Le shoots for a double leg takedown but Lee sprawls well. He's pushed Le's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lee closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Le is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Lee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Le tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lee swivels and escapes.

Horrible takedown by Le or perhaps it was just good defense by Lee which made him look bad.
Le avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
No luck for Le with that takedown attempt.

Le will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Le fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lee avoids it really well and circles away.

Le bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Le is trying to get an arm triangle but Lee is defending well.
Lee tries to bench press Le off him but Le keeps the position.

Le tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Aaron Lee.
I think Lee has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
