Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vanderlie Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adriano Flamenguista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Adriano Flamenguista was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vanderlie Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adriano Flamenguista!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Silva holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Flamenguista changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Silva fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Silva instigates a clinch.
Flamenguista has Silva pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Silva manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Silva moves into range and clinches up with Flamenguista.
Silva fails to pull guard.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Flamenguista gets underhooks to prevent Silva's takedown attempt.

Silva breaks from the clinch.
Flamenguista keeps the fight on the outside.
Silva defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Flamenguista.
Vanderlie Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adriano Flamenguista.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Flamenguista swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Silva counters with a single leg into guard. Flamenguista didn't expect that.

Silva drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Flamenguista dives on top into guard.
Flamenguista stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Flamenguista wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
Flamenguista forces his way into half guard.
Flamenguista is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Silva keeping control of the position.
Flamenguista content to control rather than advance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Flamenguista maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Silva could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Flamenguista has cracked it and Silva is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Flamenguista!
