The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Breitner throws a solid leg kick but Lyle takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Breitner.
Breitner tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lyle is able to avoid easily.
Crunch! Breitner slams his shin into Lyle's torso.
Breitner with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Breitner misses with a low kick.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Lyle's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Some bone on bone action there as Lyle checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Breitner throws a sloppy head kick and Lyle moves out of range easily.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Breitner lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lyle has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lyle and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lyle postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

You can see the frustration on Lyle's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Breitner doesn't have the hooks in and Lyle manages to turn into his guard.

I would just about give that final round to Jon Lyle.
