The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovic looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Gohan!
Filipovic unloads with some shots from mount but Gohan bucks and avoids them well.
Gohan sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Filipovic is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Filipovic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gohan on the ground.

Gohan is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Goku Gohan will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Filipovic tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Gohan is able to avoid easily.
Mirko Filipovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gohan fails with the takedown
and Filipovic counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gohan's guard now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mirko Filipovic.
Filipovic looks to land a combination but Gohan avoids it well.

so Filipovic counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Mirko Filipovic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Goku Gohan.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gohan has his feet on Filipovic's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Filipovic stalks Gohan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gohan's face. Gohan staggers backwards, shaken.
Filipovic misses with a two punch combination.

Filipovic scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Filipovic is trying to get an arm triangle but Gohan is defending well.

Gohan regains half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Filipovic thows a huge punch but Gohan dodges it nicely.
Filipovic will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Filipovic is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gohan is just riding it out for now. Filipovic eventually gives up the hold.
Gohan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Filipovic's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Filipovic's back!

Gohan is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Filipovic has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Gohan has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Filipovic taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Gohan doesn't care though - he's delighted!
