Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pooper Kidal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hyury Freire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freire shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kidal as he avoids it easily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Freire.
Kidal tries to clinch up but Freire circles away and keeps his distance.
Kidal misses with a head kick.

Freire shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kidal sprawls well. Kidal wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Freire gets slowly back to his feet.

Freire closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Freire lands in his opponent's guard.

Freire looks for a takedown but Kidal sprawls well.

Kidal is pressing down on Freire's thigh, looking to free his foot. Freire is holding on for now.
Freire is concentrating on defense, preventing Kidal from advancing position.

Kidal got a little sloppy there for a moment and Freire has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kidal has managed to get both his arms back between Freire's legs - danger averted.
Freire throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Kidal tries to close the distance and clinch up but Freire swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kidal is looking to control Freire's arms but Freire gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kidal has his back to the cage.

Freire is trying to maintain the position but Kidal is very close to passing his half guard.
Freire pushes Kidal off but Kidal dives into side control.

Kidal is looking to take a break and control but Freire is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kidal stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Freire misses with a wild body shot.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kidal darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Freire shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kidal pinned against the cage. Kidal gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kidal throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Freire.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Freire tries to hold on but Kidal pushes him away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kidal jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Freire is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Freire and Kidal has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Kidal ducks right into an uppercut from Freire.
Freire throws a nice outside leg kick.

Freire shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kidal's guard.

Freire is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Kidal throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Freire was covering up waiting for the punch and Kidal finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
