Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Kidd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon McMaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kidd's entrance music is Out of touch. A fine choice. Simon McMaster has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tyson Kidd's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tyson Kidd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Simon McMaster!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMaster lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kidd circles away quickly and effectively.

McMaster decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kidd controlling the position well.
McMaster is thwarting Kidd's attempts to control the position.
Kidd holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

McMaster looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

McMaster is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kidd is just riding it out for now. McMaster eventually gives up the hold.
Kidd is trying to maintain the position but McMaster is very close to passing his half guard.

McMaster tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kidd knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Kidd wants to control but McMaster is keeping busy.
McMaster throwing shots but Kidd is blocking nicely.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

McMaster shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Kidd tries to lock up and control but McMaster gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
McMaster wants to stand but Kidd is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
McMaster avoids the attempt from Kidd to control.

Kidd on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kidd tries to get out of the position.
McMaster looking to ground and pound but Kidd is blocking nicely.

Kidd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McMaster on the ground.

Kidd turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
McMaster is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Kidd has just dragged him back down to the mat.
You can see the frustration on McMaster's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kidd lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

and McMaster counters with a single leg into guard. Kidd didn't expect that.

Kidd lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McMaster!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McMaster is looking to get to half guard.

Kidd is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But McMaster has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from McMaster!

McMaster fails to land with a series of punches.
McMaster tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McMaster looks to land a combination but Kidd avoids it well.
Kidd avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A slapping leg kick lands for McMaster.
McMaster throws a series of strikes that have Kidd backpedaling.
McMaster stuffs the takedown attempt from Kidd. Kidd gets slowly back to his feet.
McMaster fails in his attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kidd avoids a punch combination nicely.

McMaster rushes Kidd and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

McMaster successfully pulls guard.

McMaster has his foot on Kidd's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kidd works his way back into a safe position though.

McMaster is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kidd defends well.
Kidd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McMaster swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kidd wants to control from the top but McMaster keeps moving.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

McMaster drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kidd takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Kidd is not content to let McMaster control the position.

McMaster decides to stand back up.
McMaster is breathing heavily.
McMaster throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McMaster throws a nice looking combination but Kidd bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

McMaster has managed to clinch.
McMaster tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kidd smiles and moves away.
McMaster displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kidd.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Kidd. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McMaster has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kidd uses from the top position.

Simon McMaster showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Kidd fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
McMaster closes the distance and clinches up with Kidd, looking for a takedown. McMaster pushes Kidd against the ropes but Kidd circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Simon McMaster is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kidd looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
McMaster is looking to clinch but Kidd is avoiding it.

McMaster instigates a clinch.
Kidd jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McMaster walks away with a smile on his face. Kidd gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

McMaster is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kidd's half guard.
McMaster wants to get back to his feet.
McMaster working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Kidd's thigh. Kidd counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Simon McMaster comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McMaster has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
