Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dewayne Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Severn wants it to stay on the feet.
Severn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in dos Santos's guard.
Severn is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Severn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. dos Santos swivels though and keeps the full guard.
dos Santos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Severn wants to control from the top but dos Santos keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Severn postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! dos Santos is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Severn, into his guard.
Severn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Severn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so dos Santos is just riding it out for now. Severn eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
dos Santos is pressing down on Severn's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Severn could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Severn is sneakily working for an arm triangle but dos Santos sees it coming and defends easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Severn is looking to pass dos Santos's guard but actually dos Santos recovers to full guard.
dos Santos can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Severn controls the pace.

dos Santos wants to improve his position but Severn is controlling well.
Severn frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Severn is on top in guard.
Severn drops back, looking for a kneebar! dos Santos looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. dos Santos looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from dos Santos!
Severn holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

Severn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of dos Santos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take dos Santos's back!

dos Santos has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Severn.
Severn is riding his opponent, not letting dos Santos buck him off.
dos Santos wants to control his opponent's hands but Severn gets his hands free.
What can dos Santos do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Severn is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! dos Santos is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
