Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dace Javis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Javis might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Highwayman. Rua has chosen Slayed as his entrance music. Mauricio Rua has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dace Javis's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Rua coming out on top.
Javis jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rua with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Javis to score with a decent uppercut.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Javis scores with the left hand. Rua knows he should have avoided that one.
Rua is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Javis.
Rua motions for Javis to come forward. Rua throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Some bone on bone action there as Rua checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Javis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rua sees it coming and defends easily.
Javis wants to free his trapped foot but Rua is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Rua is looking for a sweep. Javis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
