Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between karl morph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Burchill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). karl morph has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, karl morph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Burchill!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burchill throws a series of punches but morph moves out of range.

Burchill has taken the fight to the clinch.
Burchill tries to circle away but morph has him pinned against the cage.
Burchill changes levels and goes for a takedown here. morph fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Burchill darts in and clinches morph up against the cage.

Burchill breaks from the clinch.
Burchill feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to morph's calf.
Burchill leaves morph with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Burchill should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Burchill wants to clinch up but morph keeps it at a distance.

morph throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
morph moves nicely into side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Burchill tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Burchill throws an elbow but morph slips to the side and avoids it well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Burchill wants to land a leg kick but morph is out of range.
morph fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Burchill moves into the clinch.

Burchill is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. morph can't fight it off and eventually Burchill manages to take the fight to the floor. morph looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Burchill wants to get up but he can't break morph's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! morph's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


morph tries to score a power double leg takedown but Burchill sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten morph somewhat.

No joy there for Burchill, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Burchill lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Burchill.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to karl morph.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for morph, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
