The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burton with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bundy to score with a decent uppercut.

It looks like Jack Burton has been cut.
Burton throws a combination that misses
and Bundy makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Bundy lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Burton throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bundy sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Bundy lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Burton falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bundy counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Bundy throws a series of punches but Burton avoids them all with ease.

Bundy gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Burton to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Burton stands and steps away. Bundy gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Bundy shoots in and bounces Burton off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Burton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bundy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bundy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Burton is trying to maintain the position but Bundy is very close to passing his half guard.

Bundy lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Burton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bundy is working away from the top position though.

Burton is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bundy's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bundy's back!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Burton has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bundy.
Bundy lands with a kick to the ribs.

That has opened up Jack Burton's cut even more.

so Bundy counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Burton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bundy defends well.
Bundy with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Alan Bundy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bundy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Burton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bundy has managed to get both his arms back between Burton's legs - danger averted.

Burton controls Bundy momentarily but Bundy frees himself.
Burton is breathing heavily.
Bundy advances to half guard.
Bundy looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Bundy works his foot free and advances to mount.

Bundy pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Bundy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Burton is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Bundy cracks Burton with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Bundy won't let Burton get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Burton wants to hold on but Bundy pushes him away.
Burton is desperately trying to improve his position but Bundy has a good base and remains in mount.

Bundy landing strikes from the mount and Burton is in trouble!

The cut above Jack Burton's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bundy cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Burton is rocked!

Jack Burton's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jack Burton's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
