Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hardy Winner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hardy Winner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charles dos Santos!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winner tries to clinch up but dos Santos circles away and keeps his distance.
dos Santos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Winner as he avoids it easily.
dos Santos is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Winner.
dos Santos throws a head kick that misses.

dos Santos closes the distance and clinches.
Winner looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
dos Santos stalling against the cage.
Winner throws a punch but it's blocked by dos Santos.
Winner changes levels and goes for a takedown here. dos Santos fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Winner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says dos Santos as he avoids it easily.
dos Santos takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

The crowd cheers as Winner lands an impressive looking overhand right. dos Santos doesn't seem phased though.
Winner throws a hook to the side of dos Santos's head but dos Santos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hardy Winner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
dos Santos is nestled in close to Winner, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Winner looks to land a combination but dos Santos avoids it well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Winner can't keep his opponent in guard - dos Santos advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
dos Santos thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Winner to regain full guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Winner throws a hook but dos Santos blocks it.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Nice takedown defense from dos Santos. No joy for Winner on that attempt.
dos Santos bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Winner is fighting off a takedown attempt but dos Santos is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Winner to the mat. Winner regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
dos Santos has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Charles dos Santos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Winner tries to throw a body punch but dos Santos avoids it by throwing Winner back against the cage.

No joy there for Winner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

dos Santos is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Winner has managed to free his arm - good work.

dos Santos seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
dos Santos thows a huge punch but Winner dodges it nicely.
Winner is trying to stand up here but dos Santos is controlling him well.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Let's hope that dos Santos has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Hardy Winner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Charles dos Santos is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
