The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kildahl avoids it really well and circles away.
Jackson tries to clinch but Kildahl moves out of range.
Kildahl fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Jackson checks it well.
Kildahl uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jackson.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kildahl cracks Jackson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Jackson shoots for a double leg takedown but Kildahl sprawls well. He's pushed Jackson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kildahl shoots in but no luck this time.

and Kildahl counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now.
Jackson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kildahl's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson wants to stand but Kildahl is controlling his posture from full guard.
