Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between LuLi Pro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ol rax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LuLi Pro looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, LuLi Pro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, ol rax!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pro is looking to clinch.
ol rax seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pro fails with a takedown attempt.
rax gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Pro holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Pro is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Pro is breathing heavily.

rax breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and rax counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Pro is lucky that one didn't land flush.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for LuLi Pro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

rax rushes Pro and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
rax trying to land knees to the body.
Pro tries to score a body lock takedown but rax shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

rax escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

rax shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pro's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as rax accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
rax passes into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
rax sitting and controlling from the half guard.
rax missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
rax not landing any meaningful shots this time.

rax decides to stand up.

rax clinches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
rax effectively controlling the action here.

rax manages to pull guard.
rax controlling Pro's posture.
rax looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
rax manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pro manages to get himself to full guard.
Pro preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Pro keeping moving, preventing rax from controlling successfully.

rax wants to stand but Pro is controlling his posture from full guard.
Pro can't keep his opponent in guard - rax advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
rax wants to stand up but Pro is controlling the position.
rax throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
rax seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
rax drops an elbow to the side of Pro's head.

Pro blocking the ground and pound attempt from rax.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
rax seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
rax wants to stand up but Pro has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
rax throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
rax tries to clinch up

and Pro counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
rax is trying to control the position but Pro postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
rax seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

ol rax dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


rax pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

rax ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. rax no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

rax has his feet on Pro's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

rax is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pro's half guard.
rax thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pro's head.
Pro is looking to improve his position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

rax not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

rax is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pro doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time rax.

rax is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Pro blocking the ground and pound attempt from rax.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pro wants to improve his position but rax is controlling well.
rax content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
rax tries to clinch but Pro is having none of it.

rax shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pro's guard.
Pro keeping moving, preventing rax from controlling successfully.
rax with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Pro is trying to keep rax in close.

rax wants to control from the top but Pro keeps moving.
rax stands and throws Pro's legs to the side, diving into side control.

rax working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
rax misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

rax has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
rax throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like LuLi Pro has been cut.

rax tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pro swivels and escapes.

rax wants to clinch up but Pro keeps it at a distance.

rax fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pro, pushing him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

ol rax showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on LuLi Pro's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



rax bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

rax is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pro has escaped the position, nice work there.
Pro tries to improve position but can't.
Pro is not content to let rax control the position.
An elbow from rax crashes against the mat.
rax misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

rax is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pro is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
rax taking a breather here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

rax wants to clinch.

rax doesn't manage to clinch there - Pro circles away.
rax lands with a slapping head kick.

rax looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Pro!

rax is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Pro can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Pro is in all sorts of trouble here.

Pro is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pro on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pro tries to get out of the position.
rax throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
rax wants to control the pace but Pro is squirming around nicely.
Pro is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
rax sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

rax thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
rax looking to control and managing it successfully.
Pro keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Poor strikes thrown by rax there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Pro is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Pro is in all sorts of trouble here.
LuLi Pro has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
ol rax is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

ol rax comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well rax has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
