Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leandro Camilo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Watanabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leandro Camilo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ken Watanabe!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Camilo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Watanabe misses with a series of wild punches.
Watanabe misses with the combination.
Camilo dodges the punch combination from Watanabe.
Watanabe leaves Camilo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Camilo clinches with his opponent.
Watanabe can't get the takedown.
Watanabe gets underhooks to prevent Camilo's takedown attempt.

Watanabe drags the fight down to the ground.

No joy there for Watanabe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Camilo can't get the takedown.
Watanabe changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Camilo fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Watanabe throws a leg kick but Camilo moved away.

Camilo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Watanabe is looking to escape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Camilo lands a nice short elbow.
Camilo is trying to control. Watanabe wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Camilo shoots and misses
and Watanabe counters with a right hand to the body.

Watanabe looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Watanabe takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Camilo tries to kick Watanabe off but Watanabe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Watanabe doesn't manage to clinch there - Camilo circles away.
Watanabe throws a series of punches but Camilo moves out of range.
Leandro Camilo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Watanabe throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Watanabe displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Camilo.
Camilo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Watanabe at a distance.
Watanabe's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Watanabe duly obliges.


It looks like Leandro Camilo has been cut.
Camilo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Watanabe.
Camilo takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Watanabe throws a hook but Camilo blocks it.

and Camilo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Ken Watanabe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Camilo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Watanabe throws a right hand that Camilo ducks under and follows up with a left that Camilo also avoids with ease.

Camilo has closed the distance and engaged Watanabe in a clinch.
Watanabe digs a right hand into Camilo's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Camilo's gas tank.
Camilo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Watanabe avoids it.

Camilo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Watanabe pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Watanabe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Watanabe throws a right and a left that both miss.

Camilo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Watanabe walks away with a smile on his face. Camilo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Camilo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Watanabe is fending him off so far but Camilo persists. Nope, Watanabe circles away and we're back to standing.
Camilo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Watanabe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Camilo somewhat.
Watanabe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Camilo.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Camilo.
A nice combination there by Watanabe.

Camilo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Watanabe is trying to defend but Camilo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Watanabe lands a really nice looking cross but Camilo seems unphased.
Camilo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Watanabe's waist but Watanabe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Camilo off to one side.

A close second round but Ken Watanabe will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Watanabe is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Camilo is aware though and is defending well.
Watanabe is looking to stand up but Camilo isn't so interested in that idea.

Camilo postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Watanabe lands a nice forearm strike.
Camilo holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Camilo is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Watanabe is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Camilo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Watanabe creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Camilo sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Camilo wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Camilo is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Watanabe has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Watanabe throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Camilo closes the distance but Watanabe moves to the side
and Watanabe counters with a two punch combo.
Camilo throws a right and a left that Watanabe avoids nicely.
Camilo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Watanabe throws out the jab.
Watanabe takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Watanabe misses with a double jab

and Camilo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Watanabe won't be happy with that.

Camilo swings around for an armbar but Watanabe sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Camilo's guard.

Watanabe has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Camilo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
Leandro Camilo showed his dominance in that final round.
