Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Andrews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis comes to the ring accompanied by Era. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bruce Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joey Andrews!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Davis.
Davis shoots for a double leg takedown but Andrews sprawls well. He's pushed Davis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Andrews shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Davis napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Davis wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Andrews tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Andrews fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Davis manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Andrews is trying to control but can't.
Andrews is staying active underneath Davis, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Davis trying to mount his opponent but Andrews defends it.
Davis wants to stand up but Andrews has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Davis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Andrews counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Andrews postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Andrews stands up over Davis, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Davis wants to sweep here but Andrews controlling him for the moment.
Andrews connects with a couple of short punches.
Andrews is looking to work some ground and pound but Davis has wrist control.

Davis pushes Andrews off and scrambles back to his feet.
Davis is breathing heavily.
Davis fails with the takedown

and Andrews counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Davis's guard now.
Andrews postures up in Davis's guard and throws a big left but Davis blocks it.
Davis pulls Andrews in close to his closed guard and prevents Andrews from doing any damage or advancing position.
Davis wants to stand but Andrews is controlling the position.

Andrews pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Davis is keeping the position for now.
Andrews is working Davis over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Andrews prevents Davis from getting back to his feet.
Andrews is in close to Davis's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Andrews trying to control the position from guard on top but Davis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Andrews shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Davis's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Davis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Andrews would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Davis wants to sweep here but Andrews controlling him for the moment.

Andrews throws a strike but Davis rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Davis passes Andrews's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Davis is looking to take a break and control but Andrews is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Andrews really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Andrews wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrews gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Davis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Andrews won't be happy with that.
Andrews bucks up and tries to throw Davis off but instead Davis has got his back!
Davis controls the action.
Davis not allowing Andrews to control his hands.
Davis really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Andrews.
Andrews is keeping busy.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Davis working for a choke but Andrews is defending well.

Davis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Davis is trying to control the action in half guard but Andrews is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Davis wants to take a breather but Andrews is having none of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Andrews can do anything to dispel that myth.
Davis moves nicely into side control.
A lull in the action here as Davis stalls from top position.
Davis tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Davis fails to advance to Andrews's back.

Davis working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Joey Andrews has got the better of the ground game so far.
Davis looking to control but Andrews is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Davis is trying to control Andrews's posture but Andrews avoids it.

Davis throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

and Andrews counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Andrews.

Davis just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Well Andrews has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
