The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Augustin fails with the takedown.
Augustin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Daley closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Augustin is trying to drag Daley to the mat but Daley just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Augustin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Daley's guard.

Augustin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Daley manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Augustin has Daley in his guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Daley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Augustin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Augustin leaves Daley with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Augustin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Daley, who protects the arm well.

Augustin swings around for an armbar but Daley sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Augustin's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dan Daley will probably get the nod.

Augustin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Daley tries to avoid it but Augustin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Daley to the ground. Daley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Daley jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Augustin walks away with a smile on his face. Daley gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Daley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Augustin on the ground.

Augustin is looking to sinch up a triangle. Daley throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Augustin's body to avoid the submission. Augustin has instead reached around Daley's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Augustin arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
