Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex KwonDo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee's entrance music is Kid Rock - American Badass. A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

KwonDo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
KwonDo is looking to take a break and control but Lee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lee parries the strikes from KwonDo easily there. KwonDo is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Lee to escape.
Lee tries to get back to half guard but can't.
KwonDo advances nicely into full mount.
KwonDo throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Lee because KwonDo loaded up on that one.
KwonDo lands a big shot there that rocks Lee but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

KwonDo unloads with some shots from mount but Lee bucks and avoids them well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
KwonDo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard.
KwonDo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as KwonDo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


KwonDo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
KwonDo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lee throws out the jab.
KwonDo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lee.
Lee lands a slapping body shot.
Lee misses with a straight left.
KwonDo moves out of range of the strikes.
KwonDo is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Lee.


It looks like Rex KwonDo has been cut.

KwonDo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lee's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

KwonDo throws a strike but Lee rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Lee loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
KwonDo is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Lee throws a strike but KwonDo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
