The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbott fails to land the takedown.

Smoke dives in and grabs Abbott's left leg, looking for a takedown. Abbott pushes down on Smoke's head and hops out.

Smoke creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Abbott is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Smoke is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smoke decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Abbott, up you get!

Abbott tries to score a body lock takedown but Smoke shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Abbott wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Smoke has him pressed against the cage.
