Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kain Veldspar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Simms (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kain Veldspar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryan Simms!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simms throws a series of punches but Veldspar avoids them all with ease.
Veldspar looks for a takedown but Simms sprawls well.
Veldspar shoots in but Simms avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Veldspar decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Simms wants to get back to his feet.
Veldspar is pressing down on Simms's thigh, looking to free his foot. Simms is holding on for now.

Veldspar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Simms keeps working.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Veldspar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Veldspar shoots in for a double leg but Simms sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Simms throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Simms misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Simms throws a right hand that Veldspar ducks under and follows up with a left that Veldspar also avoids with ease.
Simms swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Veldspar feints and as Simms raises his hands in defense, Veldspar changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Veldspar drops back looking for a leg! Simms is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Simms manages to kick Veldspar off! Veldspar jumps back into Simms's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Simms will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Simms slips a straight right by Veldspar.
Simms fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Simms tries to bum rush Veldspar with a series of wild strikes but Veldspar uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Simms swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Veldspar shoots in looking for a takedown. Simms tries to sprawl out of it but Veldspar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Simms manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Simms lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Veldspar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Simms takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Simms gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Veldspar working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Veldspar is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Simms can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Simms wants to try and get back to his feet.

Veldspar swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Simms is now in Veldspar's guard. A big mistake from Veldspar there, giving up the dominant position!
Simms wants to stand but Veldspar is controlling his posture from full guard.

Simms is looking to stand up but Veldspar won't let him.
Veldspar lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Simms!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Veldspar lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kain Veldspar dominated that round.
That's time! Veldspar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Veldspar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Veldspar seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Simms is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Kain Veldspar!
