Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Juan Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Cutler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jay Cutler has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Juan Mann's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Juan Mann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jay Cutler!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mann tries a head kick but it misses.
Mann looks to land a combination but Cutler avoids it well.
Cutler slips a jab and a cross from Mann.
Cutler closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mann circles away.
Cutler shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mann throws a leg kick but Cutler sees it coming and moves out of range.
Mann tries to bum rush Cutler with a series of wild strikes but Cutler uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mann misses with a double jab.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Mann keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Juan Mann has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Cutler.
Cutler throws a combination that misses
and Mann counters with a two punch combo.

Cutler shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mann tries to reverse the position but Cutler maintains control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Cutler goes for an armbar but Mann turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Mann.
Mann has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Mann trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cutler has Mann pulled in close to control his posture.

Cutler throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Cutler looking for subs off his back but Mann has passed one foot through into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Cutler wants to get back to full guard but Mann has mounted him!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Juan Mann dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Cutler avoids a punch combination nicely.
The fighters circling - Cutler throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mann throws a combination that misses

and Cutler counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cutler.
Cutler advances position into side control!

Cutler wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mann, who protects the arm well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Cutler is trying to get an arm triangle but Mann is defending well.
Mann is trying to get back to half guard.

Cutler tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mann gets back to half guard.

Cutler is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Cutler is looking for a kimura but Mann is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cutler to get the leverage.
Mann works his way to full guard. Good work.
Mann keeping full guard, as Cutler tries to pass.
Mann looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cutler passes into half guard.
Cutler wants to take a breather but Mann is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jay Cutler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Cutler throws a nice looking combination but Mann bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Cutler scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Mann misses with a jab to the body

and Cutler shoots in, scooping Mann off his feet. Cutler is holding his opponent over his shoulder. He slams Mann to the mat and Mann is in big trouble! Cutler is landing strikes to his unconscious foe and the ref dives in to end the fight! Cutler is celebrating with his corner and rightfully so.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Jay Cutler!
