PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Darren Fillerd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric QFC (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fillerd's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Eastenders Theme. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
QFC throws out a powerful jab.
Fillerd looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? QFC is fending him off so far but Fillerd persists. Nope, QFC circles away and we're back to standing.
QFC keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
QFC throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fillerd stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fillerd shoots in for a takedown but QFC shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darren Fillerd. That's going to take a lot out of him.
QFC throws a shot to the body.
Fillerd takes a swing at QFC 's ribcage but misses.
QFC lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fillerd ducks right into an uppercut from QFC .
QFC lands with an overhand left.
Fillerd fails with a takedown attempt.
Fillerd shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as QFC sprawls well. QFC wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fillerd gets slowly back to his feet.
QFC connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Fillerd's hands.
QFC lands a really nice looking cross but Fillerd seems unphased.

Fillerd tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but QFC swivels and escapes.
Fillerd shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Fillerd is breathing heavily.
QFC connects with a looping right hand.

Fillerd tries to clinch but QFC moves out of range.
QFC scores with a jab to the jaw.
QFC lunges at Fillerd with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Fillerd's hand.
QFC is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Fillerd had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Nice uppercut lands for QFC . That snapped Fillerd's head back.
QFC connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Fillerd tries to clinch but QFC moves out of range.
QFC has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
QFC scores with a sloppy right hand. Fillerd should have avoided that one.

QFC fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Fillerd looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

QFC dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
QFC lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by QFC .
QFC goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Fillerd is rocked!
QFC keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Oh Fillerd is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
QFC paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Fillerd walks straight into a right hand from QFC - that's dropped him! QFC jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Fillerd from any more punishment! Fillerd complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
