Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Martin King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King wants to sweep here but Castle controlling him for the moment.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Castle looks to throw the jab but King is out of range.
King misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Castle drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Castle tries to advance to mount but King denies him.
King tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Castle wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
An elbow from Castle crashes against the mat.
King is looking for a sweep.
Castle in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Castle works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Castle swings around for an armbar but King sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Castle's guard.

Castle throws his legs up looking for a submission but King uses it to pass to side control.
Castle tries to buck King off but King is having none of it.
Castle is breathing heavily.
King staying calm.
Castle is looking to regain half guard here but King keeps moving and retains side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
King wants to lay and pray for a moment but Castle keeps working.
Castle gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
King prevents Castle from improving his position.
King thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Castle's head.
King keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Castle moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Castle looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Castle can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as King controls the pace.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Frank Castle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Castle throws a series of punches but King avoids them all with ease.
King throws out a powerful jab.
King throws a front kick aimed at Castle's knee but Castle avoids it well.
King closes the distance and lands a one-two.
King throws a sloppy head kick

and Castle counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in King's guard now.

Castle drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and King dives on top into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Castle takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Castle has his foot on King's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. King works his way back into a safe position though.

Castle is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
King has knee on belly and moves into mount.

King wants to control the pace but Castle is squirming around nicely.

King content just to control the position here.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Castle bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

King on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if King tries to get out of the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Martin King.
I think King has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
