Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Locke II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Locke II! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Phil Phillips! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phillips takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Locke II shoots in for a takedown but Phillips shows good takedown defense. Locke II throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Horrible takedown by Locke II or perhaps it was just good defense by Phillips which made him look bad. The fight stays on the outside here - Locke II looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Phillips tests Locke II's chin there with a solid looking shot. Phillips defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Locke II. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Locke II. That's going to take a lot out of him. Phillips wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Locke II connects with a solid leg kick. Phillips tries to bum rush Locke II with a series of wild strikes but Locke II uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Locke II just misses with a punch to the body.
Locke II shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Phillips sprawls well. Phillips wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Locke II gets slowly back to his feet. Locke II looks to land a combination but Phillips avoids it well.

Phillips lands a jab to the head.
Phillips leaves Locke II with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Phil Phillips seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fighters circle momentarily. Phillips darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Phil Phillips is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Phillips throws a combination that misses and Locke II counters with a nice double leg into side control. Phillips won't be happy with that. Locke II tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Locke II tries to advance to mount but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Locke II taking a breather here. Locke II wants to control for a moment but Phillips uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Locke II looks to land a strike but Phillips avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Locke II stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Phillips swivels though and keeps the full guard. Locke II has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Locke II wants to control from the top but Phillips keeps moving. Locke II seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Locke II looking to sit in guard and control but Phillips gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that John Locke II will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Locke II. That's going to take a lot out of him. Phillips stuffs the takedown attempt from Locke II. Locke II gets slowly back to his feet. Locke II avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Locke II closes the distance and clinches. Locke II's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Phillips throws a left and a right that both miss
and Locke II counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Phillips's guard now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Locke II stands up from Phillips's guard - Locke II perhaps looking for a knockout. Locke II tries to close the distance and clinch but Phillips swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. John Locke II is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Phillips lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Locke II circles away quickly and effectively. Phillips is breathing heavily. Nice takedown defense from Phillips. No joy for Locke II on that attempt. Locke II feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Locke II stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Phillips swivels though and keeps the full guard. Locke II trying to control but Phillips is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Locke II looking to sit in guard and control but Phillips gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Locke II will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Locke II trying to keep a closed guard but Phillips is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Locke II is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Locke II wriggles free and stands up. Locke II tries for a takedown but Phillips sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Phillips jabbing away but nothing is landing. A combination from Phillips does no damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Locke II lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Phil Phillips has been cut. Locke II tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Phillips swivels and escapes. Phillips throws a combination that misses and Locke II counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Locke II trying to mount his opponent but Phillips defends it. Locke II seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Phillips does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Locke II dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Phil Phillips's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Locke II shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Phillips as he avoids it easily. Locke II shoots in for a double leg but Phillips sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Phillips misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Locke II counters with a shoot takedown. Phillips fights it but they end up in guard. Locke II wants to control from the top but Phillips keeps moving. Phillips takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Locke II looking to sit in guard and control but Phillips gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. John Locke II overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Locke II looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Locke II on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Locke II tries to get out of the position. Locke II trying to keep a closed guard but Phillips is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of John Locke II. Phillips cracks Locke II with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Phillips misses with a combination
and Locke II decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Phillips's guard. Phillips avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Locke II trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Locke II drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Phillips manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Locke II has Phillips in his guard. Locke II bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Phillips's guard. John Locke II is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Phillips keeping moving, preventing Locke II from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Locke II is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Phillips is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
And that's the end of the fight! John Locke II showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Locke II, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
