Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paq Yu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafhael Angeles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rafhael Angeles!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Angeles gets a takedown into half guard.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Yu gets back to full guard.

Angeles has gone for a leg lock! Yu slips out almost immediately though and dives into Angeles's guard.
Yu stands up over Angeles, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Yu slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Angeles has momentary wrist control but Yu slips an elbow through the middle.
Yu thows a big elbow that misses.
Yu is stalling in the full guard.

Yu gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Yu fails in his attempt to clinch.

Yu bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Yu gets to mount! Angeles was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Angeles is trying desperately to improve position.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Yu cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Angeles defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Yu.

Yu controlling from the full mount.
Yu trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Yu closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Angeles did well to prevent Yu getting side control.
Yu seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Angeles does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Yu perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Angeles is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Yu pulls his head out easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Yu is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Paq Yu.
Angeles blocks a head kick by Yu.
Angeles shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Yu counters with a single leg into guard. Angeles didn't expect that.
Yu wants to control from the top but Angeles keeps moving.

Yu trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Angeles looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Yu pushes past his half guard into mount!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Yu lands a big shot there that rocks Angeles but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Yu jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Angeles is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Angeles and Yu has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Yu works to advance to full mount. Angeles defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Angeles takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Yu goes for an armbar but Angeles turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Angeles.
Yu looking to hit a scissor sweep but Angeles is one step ahead there.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Angeles postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Yu is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Angeles, into his guard.

Rafhael Angeles has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Paq Yu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Yu wants to control from the top but Angeles keeps moving.
