Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Francois Pignon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aoio Uwukiwe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pignon comes into the arena with Monster blaring out of the sound system. Aoio Uwukiwe has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uwukiwe looks to land a body kick but Pignon moved away.

Pignon shoots in for a double leg but Uwukiwe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Uwukiwe stalks Pignon and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pignon's face. Pignon staggers backwards, shaken.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Pignon. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Uwukiwe closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Pignon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Uwukiwe feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Pignon is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Uwukiwe can't fight it off and eventually Pignon manages to take the fight to the floor. Uwukiwe looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Pignon drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Pignon seems to have locked his on tight now - Uwukiwe screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Pignon, as he picks up the win!
