The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torrentini avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Torrentini rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nowak moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jan Nowak's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Torrentini rushes Nowak and presses him up against the cage.
Torrentini tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Jan Nowak's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Torrentini lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nowak circles away quickly and effectively.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Torrentini.
Torrentini fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nowak avoids it really well and circles away.

Nowak is trying to stick to Torrentini's back but Torrentini is turning into Nowak. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Nowak's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Torrentini.
