Fight is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Fisty Fight could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Joe Smith's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Fisty Fight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Smith!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Fight's head.


It looks like Fisty Fight has been cut.
Fight is breathing heavily.
Fight throws a sloppy head kick

and Smith holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Smith has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Fight clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Smith struggling to keep hold of the position.
Smith biding his time, controlling Fight.
Smith's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
I looks like Smith might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Smith scores with strikes from the back.
Fight might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Fight grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Smith controls the position.
Fight covering up well and avoiding damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith is punishing Fight with strikes - can he finish him?!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Smith trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Smith lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Fight hold on?!

Smith is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Fight is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Smith.

Smith might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fight kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Despite being in the dominant position, Joe Smith just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Smith throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Fight.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Smith closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fight to the mat! Fight manages to get full guard.
Smith loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Smith thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Smith is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Fight keeping full guard, as Smith tries to pass.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Smith wants to control from the top but Fight keeps moving.
Smith showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Smith is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Joe Smith.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith moves nicely into side control.

Smith decides to stand back up.
Fight throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease.
Fight shoots in but no luck this time.
Fight shoots for a takedown but Smith saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Fight throws a sloppy head kick

and Smith counters by moving into the clinch.

Smith manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Smith is controlling Fight's posture.
Smith is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fight has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Fight with a flurry of punches that miss.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Smith looking for a sweep. Not yet Smith, not yet.

Joe Smith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Smith pushes Fight up against the cage in a clinch.
Smith lands a body shot in the clinch.

Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Smith misses with a double jab.

Smith instigates a clinch.
Smith landing knees to the body.

Smith jumps guard and drags Fight to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Smith looking for a sweep. Not yet Smith, not yet.
Fight trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Smith managing to control the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Smith is trying to control the position but Fight postures up.

Smith lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fight!
Fight is working to get back to half guard.
Smith scoring with strikes but Fight is staying in there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fight is trying to escape the mount.
Smith tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Let's hope that Smith has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Fight taking shots to the head.
Smith trying to control but Fight is having none of it.
Smith lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee warns Fight that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Fight wants to hold on but Smith pushes him away.
Smith is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Smith breaks from Fight's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Fight tries to hold on but Smith pushes him away.
Smith can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fight is looking to escape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight!
Joe Smith comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
