Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Kell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wade Lausster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacques Kell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wade Lausster!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lausster fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Lausster closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kell did well to prevent Lausster getting side control.
Lausster content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Lausster is just content to waste time from the top position. Kell takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Lausster looking to sit in guard and control but Kell gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Lausster looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Kell puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kell tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Lausster.
Kell is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Lausster manages to get to full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lausster holds on and takes a little breather.
Lausster manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Lausster can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kell is looking to escape.
Lausster connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Lausster swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kell is now in Lausster's guard. A big mistake from Lausster there, giving up the dominant position!

Lausster looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kell passes into side control.
Kell tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lausster is trying to control Kell's posture but Kell avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kell scores with a jab. Lausster acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Kell showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lausster.
A punch combination from Kell misses.
Kell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kell wants it to stay on the feet.
Lausster swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kell counters with a two punch combo.
Kell throws a right and a left that Lausster avoids nicely.
Lausster tries a low kick but Kell avoids it.
Kell lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


It looks like Wade Lausster has been cut.
Some wild striking there from Kell.
Kell moves out of range of the strikes.
Kell swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Lausster might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kell kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Kell is looking to stand up but Lausster isn't so interested in that idea.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lausster accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lausster working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Lausster wants to control from the top but Kell keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lausster pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lausster shoots in for a takedown but Kell shows good takedown defense.
Kell throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lausster walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kell falls off balance throwing a combination

and Lausster counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Lausster trying to control but Kell is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lausster is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Kell avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lausster accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lausster drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kell dives on top into guard.
Lausster is breathing heavily.
Lausster looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Kell puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Kell wants to stand up but Lausster is controlling the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lausster gets back to full guard.
Lausster lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kell!

Lausster goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kell turns into him and now he's in Lausster's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Wade Lausster will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Lausster postures up in Kell's guard and throws a big left but Kell blocks it.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lausster fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A big right from Kell misses.
Kell goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Lausster changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kell tries to avoid it but Lausster manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kell to the ground. Kell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lausster throws a leg kick but Kell checks it.
Kell throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

so Lausster counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Lausster takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Lausster postures up in Kell's guard and throws a big left but Kell blocks it.
Kell utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Lausster wants to pass the guard but Kell is keeping the position.
Kell is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Kell avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Wade Lausster is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Lausster trying to control the position from guard on top but Kell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jacques Kell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kell throws a left and a right that both miss

and Lausster counters with a shoot takedown. Kell fights it but they end up in guard.
Kell keeping moving, preventing Lausster from controlling successfully.

Wade Lausster comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Lausster winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
