The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monni fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Stone. No joy for Monni on that attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Monni looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Monni fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stone avoids it really well and circles away.

Stone bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Stone works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Monni is letting Stone control him for a moment.

Stone wants to control but Monni is keeping him busy.
Monni is looking to regain half guard here but Stone keeps moving and retains side control.
Monni is not content to let Stone control the position.
Monni tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stone wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Stone lands with some strikes.
Monni bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Stone on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stone tries to get out of the position.
Monni tries to free his leg and advance position but Stone is retaining full guard.

Monni has gone for a leg lock! Stone slips out almost immediately though and dives into Monni's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stone slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Monni bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stone's guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Monniis looking to pass into half guard but Stone pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Stone is in guard.

Stone throws a nice looking combination but Monni bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Monni closes the distance but Stone moves to the side

Stone is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Monni can do to turn this around?

Monni is looking to sinch up a triangle. Stone throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Monni's body to avoid the submission. Monni has instead reached around Stone's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Monni arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
