Honda is pressed up against the cage. Dowd has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Honda down to the mat. Honda avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Honda drops Dowd with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Dowd looks back up at him and smiles so Honda waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Dowd is rocked!

It looks like Wellen Dowd has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Honda finds Dowd's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Dowd flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Honda lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Dowd will be OK.
