The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
lavelle throws a leg kick but Hills checks it.
Hills really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
lavelle sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
lavelle misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
lavelle fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
lavelle throws a leg kick but Hills moved away.
Nice takedown defense from lavelle. No joy for Hills on that attempt.

and Hills cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hills looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hills wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hills is trying to break the clinch but lavelle has him pressed against the cage.
Hills scores a nice knee to the body.
Hills fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frazier Hills. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hills tries to pull guard but lavelle holds him up against the cage and eventually Hills drops back down to his feet.
Hills landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
lavelle is pressed up against the cage. Hills has hold of a leg and is looking to drag lavelle down to the mat. lavelle avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
lavelle throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Hills colapses and takes a barrage of punches from lavelle as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Hills is left battered and dazed whilst lavelle and his camp cheer!
