Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rio Nakisaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Fraiser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rio Nakisaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tim Fraiser!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fraiser drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Nakisaki lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Nakisaki.
Nakisaki moves in looking to clinch but Fraiser pushes him off.
A nice inside leg kick there by Fraiser. That's going to slow Nakisaki down.
Nakisaki will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Fraiser gets the takedown into side control.
Nakisaki is looking for a sweep.
Fraiser wants to control but Nakisaki is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fraiser is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Nakisaki has escaped the position, nice work there.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fraiser avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The fight stays on the outside here - Nakisaki looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Fraiser counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Fraiser postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nakisaki is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fraiser, into his guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Fraiser is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Nakisaki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fraiser on the ground.

Nakisaki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nakisaki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nakisaki postures up and lands a big shot to Fraiser's brow.

Fraiser bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nakisaki's guard.
Nakisaki is trying to keep Fraiser in close.
Nakisaki has control of Fraiser's left arm, preventing Fraiser from doing any damage.
Fraiser not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Nakisaki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Nakisaki prevents Fraiser from getting the reversal.
Nakisaki has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fraiser's face.
Fraiser tries to reverse the position but Nakisaki maintains control.

Nakisaki lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Nakisaki cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Fraiser is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nakisaki is aware though and is defending well.
Fraiser is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fraiser has his foot on Nakisaki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nakisaki works his way back into a safe position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Nakisaki has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fraiser is working away from the top position though.
Nakisaki is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Fraiser is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Nakisaki has managed to free his arm - good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tim Fraiser showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Nakisaki tries to clinch up but Fraiser circles away and keeps his distance.

Fraiser drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nakisaki looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nakisaki looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nakisaki!
Fraiser takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Fraiser takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Nakisaki working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
You can see the frustration on Fraiser's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Fraiser has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nakisaki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fraiser quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Nakisaki has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Fraiser celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
