Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derek Bacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bacon comes to the cage accompanied by Just Like You Imagined by Nine Inch Nails. Simpson has chosen Last of the Mohicans Theme as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bacon moves in looking to clinch but Simpson pushes him off.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Simpson.
Simpson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bacon's waist but Bacon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Simpson off to one side.
Simpson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bacon but Bacon pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Simpson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bacon tries to avoid it but Simpson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bacon to the ground. Bacon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Simpson is looking to improve his position but Bacon isn't that keen on the idea.

Bacon has hold of Simpson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Simpson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Bacon is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Simpson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Simpson!

Bacon has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Simpson defend it? Bacon steps over the head and cranks it - Simpson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Bacon!
