Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chong Wang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Polo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Polo's choice of entrance music: Mind, Body, & Soul. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polo moves out of range as Wang throws a body kick.
A combination from Polo does no damage.
Wang could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wang throws a series of punches but Polo avoids them all with ease.
Wang plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Wang gets a takedown into half guard.
Polo regains full guard. Nicely done.

Wang has gone for a leg lock! Polo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wang's guard.
Polo throwing strikes from guard but Wang blocks nicely.

Wang working for a triangle but Polo defends it easily.
Polo postures up and lands a big shot to Wang's brow.

It looks like Chong Wang has been cut.
Polo controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Polo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Polo stands and throws Wang's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Wang gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Polo works his way into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Polo connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
A nice elbow there by Polo.

Chong Wang's cut is getting worse.
Polo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The referee warns Wang that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Chong Wang's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Polo looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Jeez, Chong Wang's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Chong Wang's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Marco Polo! Marco Polo retains his heavyweight title!
