The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Van Dijk pushes Jackoffovich up against the cage in a clinch.

Van Dijk has Jackoffovich pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Van Dijk pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jackoffovich tumbling to the mat - Van Dijk dives into Jackoffovich's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Van Dijk has Jackoffovich pressed against the cage, preventing Jackoffovich from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Van Dijk has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jackoffovich uses from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Van Dijk dives in and grabs Jackoffovich's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackoffovich pushes down on Van Dijk's head and hops out.

Van Dijk shoots in and bounces Jackoffovich off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jackoffovich wants to get back to his feet but Van Dijk is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Van Dijk is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jackoffovich's shoulder. That is not cool.
Van Dijk lands a decent elbow from side control.
Van Dijk happy to just control the position for now.
