Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Media!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lucas Cobos!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cobos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Media tries to hold on but Cobos postures up.

Media tries to lock up and control but Cobos gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Cobos avoids the attempt from Media to control.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Media stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Media wants it to stay on the feet.
Paul Media has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lucas Cobos.

Media moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Cobos has worked his arm free - good work by Cobos!

Media tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Media has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Media wants to control but Cobos is keeping him busy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cobos is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Media decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Media shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cobos's guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Media thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cobos trying to control the position from guard on top but Media is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cobos must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Cobos might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Media kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Media looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Cobos would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Paul Media overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Media has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Cobos defend it? Media steps over the head and cranks it - Cobos is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Media!
