Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kaennor Malaipet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seamus O Neil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malaipet kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is CLASH - Crashing. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Neil avoids the head kick by Malaipet.
O Neil tries to land a leg kick but Malaipet saw it coming and moves away.
O Neil wants to clinch up but Malaipet keeps it at a distance.
Malaipet slaps away a takedown attempt from O Neil, before circling back to the center of the mat.

O Neil has Malaipet up against the cage in a clinch.
O Neil is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

O Neil escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
O Neil avoids the head kick by Malaipet.
O Neil shoots for a takedown but Malaipet saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A head kick misses from O Neil.
O Neil stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Malaipet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
O Neil fails with an attempt to clinch.
O Neil blocks a head kick by Malaipet.
O Neil circles away from the clinch attempt.
O Neil takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Seamus O Neil has been cut.
Malaipet lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
O Neil looks gassed!
O Neil keeps the fight on the outside.
O Neil misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Malaipet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Malaipet fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt O Neil.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Malaipet misses with a head kick.
Malaipet throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Malaipet fails in his attempt to clinch.
O Neil misses with the combination.

Malaipet closes the distance and pushes O Neil back into the cage.
Malaipet tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
O Neil tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Malaipet's elbow.
Malaipet controlling the action here for a moment.

O Neil tries for a takedown. No joy.
Kaennor Malaipet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seamus O Neil.

Malaipet is pushing O Neil up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Malaipet lands an elbow inside that O Neil shrugs off.
Malaipet landing knees to the head.
Malaipet lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Malaipet connects with a nasty looking knee right to O Neil's face.

Malaipet escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick by Malaipet - that's a beauty! O Neil is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Malaipet can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
