Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jackson Folks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Desmoraine!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Desmoraine.
Desmoraine controlling the position.

Desmoraine looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Desmoraine trying to control the action but Folks is working from the bottom.
Desmoraine postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Desmoraine is trying to get an arm triangle but Folks is defending well.
Desmoraine taking a break here but Folks is having none of it and regains half guard.
Desmoraine throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Desmoraine trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Desmoraine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Folks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Folks postures up in Desmoraine's guard and throws a big left but Desmoraine blocks it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Desmoraine can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Desmoraine shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Folks's guard.
Desmoraine slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Folks avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Desmoraine stays in close to Folks's body and controls the position.
Desmoraine tries to free his leg and advance position but Folks is retaining full guard.
Desmoraine controls from within his opponent's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Paul Desmoraine has got the better of the ground game so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Paul Desmoraine.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Desmoraine shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Desmoraine showed some decent athleticism there.
Desmoraine working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Desmoraine takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Paul Desmoraine comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Desmoraine has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
