Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ford Prefect (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Davids (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davids has chosen Wu-Tang Clan - Bring Da Ruckus as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davids moves into the clinch successfully.
Prefect has Davids pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Davids manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Prefect got a little sloppy there for a moment and Davids has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Prefect has managed to get both his arms back between Davids's legs - danger averted.
Davids working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Prefect doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Prefect manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Davids is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Prefect's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Davids manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Prefect manages to get himself to full guard.

That's time! Prefect's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Prefect throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Davids was covering up waiting for the punch and Prefect finishes the takedown easily into guard.

and Davids counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Davids comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

and Davids counters with a three punch combo that has Prefect backing up. Prefect nods at Davids to acknowledge the strikes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ford Prefect. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Davids scores with a jab. Prefect acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Nice uppercut lands for Davids. That snapped Prefect's head back.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Davids. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Prefect is sitting in close to Davids's body. Davids has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Prefect is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Prefect is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Davids.
