The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone keeps the fight on the outside.
Stone looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stone, pushing him back against the cage.

Silva pulls guard.

Silva has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Stone off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Silva leaves Stone with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Stone avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dats Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stone takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Brian Stone has been cut.
Silva tries to clinch up.

Silva shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Silva showed some decent athleticism there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Silva is keen to just control but Stone is a slippery customer.
Stone has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silva is working away from the top position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Stone shoots and misses

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Stone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Silva takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Silva postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Stone to stand up.

Stone is looking to sinch up a triangle. Silva throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Stone's body to avoid the submission. Stone has instead reached around Silva's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Stone arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
