Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Todd Nieds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nieds rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Barnes moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Barnes tries to clinch up but Nieds circles away and keeps his distance.
Barnes lands with a nice combination. Nieds backs away looking to recover.
Nieds falls off balance throwing a combination

and Barnes counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Barnes.
Barnes lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Nieds or not.
Barnes is looking to break free of the clinch but Nieds has double underhooks.
Barnes tries to throw a body punch but Nieds avoids it by throwing Barnes back against the cage.

Nieds breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Barnes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Barnes avoids the body shot from Nieds.

Barnes feints and then cracks Nieds's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nieds down.

and Barnes counters with a stiff right hand.

Barnes moves into the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Nieds prevents a takedown attempt there.

Nieds is trying to break free.

Nieds's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nieds looks to land a combination but Barnes avoids it well.
Barnes tries to close the distance and clinch but Nieds swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nieds throws a predictable looking body shot
and Barnes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Todd Nieds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barnes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nieds swats away the attempt to clinch by Barnes.

A lazy left from Nieds finds it's target.

It looks like Brock Barnes has been cut.
Nieds lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Barnes throws a body punch but Nieds moves out of range.

and Barnes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Barnes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Nieds loads up on a big right hand but Barnes slips the punch.
Barnes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nieds paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Barnes moves into the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Nieds's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Nieds throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Barness head.
Barnes tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Nieds's elbow.

Nieds breaks the clinch.
Nieds misses with an uppercut. Barnes saw that one coming.
Barnes showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Nieds.
Barnes wants to clinch up but Nieds keeps it at a distance.

and Barnes counters with a nice low kick that buckles Nieds's knee momentarily.
Barnes throws a quick inside leg kick.
Barnes closes the distance but Nieds moves to the side
and Nieds counters with a one-two to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Nieds. Barnes does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nieds cracks a nice hook into Barnes's ribs.

Barnes thuds his right hand into Nieds's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Barnes lands a nice shot that snaps Nieds's head back.
The fight stays on the outside here - Barnes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Barnes moves in looking to clinch but Nieds pushes him off.

Barnes fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Nieds's corner calls for a 1-2. Nieds obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Barnes is rocked!
Barnes is looking to wear down Nieds with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Nieds throws a combination that misses
letting Barnes counter with a right hand.
Oh Barnes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nieds checks a leg kick nicely.
Nieds closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Barnes out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
