The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson looks to land a combination but Barycz avoids it well.
Barycz is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
Johnson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Johnson goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Johnson lands a jab to Barycz's midsection.
Barycz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Barycz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Barycz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Johnson walks away with a smile on his face. Barycz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Johnson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Barycz at a distance.

Johnson lunges at Barycz with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Barycz's hand.

Johnson throws a series of strikes that have Barycz backpedaling.
Barycz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Johnson circles away.
Barycz stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Johnson.

Johnson drives through and clinches with Barycz against the cage.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Johnson has cracked Barycz with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Johnson lands another huge swinging hook and Barycz tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Barycz, before Johnson can land any more shots!
