Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kip Killroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Knockout Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kip Killroy could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Knockout Power's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kip Killroy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Knockout Power!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power swats away the attempt to clinch by Killroy.

Killroy rushes Power and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Knees to the body from Killroy.
Killroy landing knees to the body.

Power has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Killroy is trying to keep an underhook but Power manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Power is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Killroy is trying to stand.
Killroy slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Killroy wants to stand and escape but Power is having none of it.
Killroy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Power on the ground.
Killroy trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Killroy wants to sweep but no luck.
Power cracks Killroy with a solid left hand.
Power controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Power scoring with some ground and pound.
Killroy wants to stand but Power is controlling the position.
Killroy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Power trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

I looks like Power might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Killroy has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Power has passed into side control.

Power is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Killroy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Killroy prevents Power from moving into mount.

Power is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Killroy's shoulder. That is not cool.
Power is looking to take a break and control but Killroy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Power thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Power looks gassed!
Killroy wants to get back to his feet.
Killroy is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Killroy flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Power trying to control the pace.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Power looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Power trying to control the pace.
Power stops Killroy from getting back to his feet.
Killroy throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Power is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Killroy is refusing to be controlled, as Power sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Knockout Power dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Killroy is looking to clinch.
Killroy tries to clinch up.
Killroy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Power is looking to clinch but Killroy is avoiding it.
Killroy moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Power motions for Killroy to come forward. Power throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Power changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Killroy tries to avoid it but Power manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Killroy to the ground. Killroy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Killroy lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Killroy lands a nice looking kick to the body. Power takes a step back to recover.

Killroy has Power up against the ropes in a clinch.
Power is breathing heavily.
Killroy landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Killroy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Killroy throws a head kick that half lands.

Power throws a sloppy head kick

and Killroy counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Killroy.
Power avoiding damage.
Power wants to break the clinch but can't.
Killroy unloads a knee to the mid-section. Power lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Killroy landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Killroy scores with a knee to the head.

A right hook to the body lands for Killroy.
Power has had enough of the clinch but Killroy keeps him there for the moment.

Killroy connects with a nasty looking knee right to Power's face.
Power is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Killroy gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Kip Killroy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Knockout Power.

Power breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Power tries for a takedown but Killroy circles away easily

and Killroy counters by moving into the clinch.
Power drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Killroy gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Killroy stops a takedown attempt from Power.
Power is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Power has Killroy pressed against the ropes.
Killroy missing with knees to the body.
Power lands a shot to the body.

Power breaks the clinch.

Power fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Killroy, pushing him back against the ropes.
Killroy avoids the elbow strike from Power, against the ropes.
Power avoiding damage as Killroy throws knees to the body.

Power pulls guard effortlessly.
Power throws a nice elbow from the bottom.
Power is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Killroy is controlling him.
Power striking off his back.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Killroy's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Killroy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Power, up you get!
Knockout Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Killroy doesn't manage to clinch there - Power circles away.
Killroy closes the distance looking to clinch

and Power counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Killroy trying to keep a closed guard but Power is proving a slippery customer.
Killroy pulls Power in close to his closed guard and prevents Power from doing any damage or advancing position.
Power looking to sit in guard and control but Killroy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Killroy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Power wants to stand but Killroy has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Killroy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Power shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Power lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Killroy backwards.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Power throws a right and a left that Killroy avoids nicely.
Killroy is looking to clinch but Power is avoiding it.

Power throws a lazy head kick

and Killroy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Power won't be happy with that.
Power wants to control but Killroy postures up.

Killroy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Killroy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Power, who protects the arm well.
Power manages to get back to half guard.
Power looks like he's trying to stand up.
Power is looking for a sweep. Killroy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Killroy working over Power with some ground and pound. Power looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Killroy wants to stand up but Power has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Killroy seems to be working for a kimura but Power defends the submission attempt.

Killroy seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Power tries to roll over but Killroy keeps him under control.

Killroy is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
