PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boll Dozer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Kirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dozer comes to the cage accompanied by back on my feet again. James Kirk is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dozer throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kirk looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Dozer decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Dozer stalling.
Kirk wants to control but Dozer is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Dozer decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dozer cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Dozer goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kirk turns into him and now he's in Dozer's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kirk looking to sit in guard and control but Dozer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Dozer controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Dozer passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Dozer is thwarting Kirk's attempts to control the position.

Still in half guard, Dozer seems content to control.
Dozer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Dozer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Kirk wants to control but Dozer is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Kirk is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Dozer is staying active.

Dozer stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Kirk tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Dozer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kirk looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Dozer lands an elbow.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dozer wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kirk, who protects the arm well.
Dozer is working Kirk over with some ground and pound from side control.

Dozer lands a decent elbow from side control.
Kirk throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Kirk is looking to regain half guard here but Dozer keeps moving and retains side control.

Dozer is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kirk knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Dozer cracks Kirk with a big right hand but Kirk just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Kirk is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Dozer wants to get back to his feet but Kirk is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Boll Dozer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kirk stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Dozer moves into the clinch.
Kirk keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dozer's efforts to push away.

Dozer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kirk just stands there and leans against the cage.

Boll Dozer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dozer fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kirk avoids it really well and circles away.

so Dozer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Dozer stands up from Kirk's guard - Dozer perhaps looking for a knockout.
Kirk throws a nice looking combination but Dozer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Dozer counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kirk!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boll Dozer dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Dozer pulls Kirk in to control the position.
Kirk wants to get up but he can't break Dozer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Kirk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dozer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kirk wants to control from the top but Dozer keeps moving.

Dozer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kirk gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kirk with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Dozer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kirk won't allow Dozer to sweep him here.

Kirk drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dozer looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dozer looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dozer!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Dozer has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Kirk is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Kirk gets to his feet - Dozer follows without any prompting.
Kirk throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Dozer shoots in and bounces Kirk off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Dozer makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

I would just about give that final round to James Kirk.
I think Dozer has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
