The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMarc attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
sumugat looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
McMarc misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
sumugat avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

sumugat gets caught flat footed, as McMarc shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
McMarc keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of sumugat's head.

McMarc stands up and waves to sumugat to follow him.

McMarc shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

McMarc tries to close the distance and clinch but sumugat swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

McMarc closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. sumugat did well to prevent McMarc getting side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
McMarc shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. sumugat manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

McMarc not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
McMarc is in close to sumugat's body, working some short punches and elbows.

McMarc is really struggling to control sumugat but he's trying to hold on to the position.
McMarc slips nicely into half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
McMarc thows a huge punch but sumugat dodges it nicely.

McMarc decides to return to a standing position.

McMarc throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. sumugat was covering up waiting for the punch and McMarc finishes the takedown easily into guard.

McMarc thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

McMarc drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. McMarc seems to have locked his on tight now - sumugat screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for McMarc, as he picks up the win!
