Summers comes to the cage accompanied by Radioactive - Kings of Leon. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Summers pushes Shukshin up against the cage in a clinch.
Summers lands a right hand that snaps the head of Shukshin backwards.
Summers wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Shukshin has him pressed against the cage.
Shukshin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Summers just stands there and leans against the cage.
Shukshin is trying to break the clinch but Summers has him pressed against the cage.

Shukshin tries to circle away but Summers has him pinned against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shukshin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Shukshin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Shukshin is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Summers utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Summers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shukshin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Shukshin throws a strike but Summers rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Shukshin has an active guard here but Summers has managed to pass into half guard.

Well Summers has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
