Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Raimo Posti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Apollo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Apollo has chosen My Bloody Valentine - Loomer as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Apollo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Apollo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Posti.
Apollo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Posti sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Posti dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Apollo. That did some damage!

Apollo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Apollo throws a combination. Posti tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Apollo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Posti moves away.

Posti swings for the body but Apollo moves out of range.
Posti closes the distance and pushes Apollo back into the cage.
Apollo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Posti smiles and moves away.
Apollo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Posti napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Posti throws the left hand but Apollo avoids the punch easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Apollo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Posti's waist but Posti gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Apollo off to one side.
Raimo Posti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rex Apollo.

Apollo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Posti with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Apollo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

enabling Posti to counter with a crisp jab.
