Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Foxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Foxx comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the tiger. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Foxx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio James!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James slips a jab from Foxx.
James will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
James takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
James moves forwards but Foxx connects with a nice, crisp jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Foxx clinches with his opponent.
Foxx wants to break free but James has control.
Foxx working hard to break the clinch.
James prevents the takedown attempt.
Foxx is pushing James up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
James has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Foxx is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Foxx wants to break the clinch but can't.

Foxx tries to break free but James pushes him back against the cage.
Foxx tries to circle away but James has him pinned against the cage.
Foxx is pushing James up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

James keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Foxx's efforts to push away.

James has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Foxx uses from the top position.

James scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Foxx scores with a hook to the body. James takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Foxx stands and steps away. James gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

James is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

James shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Foxx but Foxx pushes him off and we're back to square one.

James with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Foxx to score with a decent uppercut.
James uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Foxx.
James lands with a thumping leg kick.

Foxx throws a hook but James blocks it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Foxx connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed James momentarily.
James misses with a takedown attempt - Foxx sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Foxx throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

James closes the distance and clinches up with Foxx, looking for a takedown. James pushes Foxx against the cage but Foxx circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Foxx tries to lock up and control but James gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Foxx is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Foxx.
Foxx throws a series of strikes that have James backpedaling.
Foxx tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Foxx bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

James looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Foxx is fending him off so far but James persists. Nope, Foxx circles away and we're back to standing.

James has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

James tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Foxx swivels and escapes.
James gets cracked there but stands up to it.
James shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Foxx as he jumps to the side.

Foxx moves into the clinch.
James jumps guard but Foxx stands there with James around his waist. James gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Foxx can't break the clinch.
James prevents the takedown attempt.
Foxx misses with a hook from the clinch.

James pulls guard effortlessly.

And that's the end of the fight!
Steve Foxx showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Foxx has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
