Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rex KwonDo!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
KwonDo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
McMorrow listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.


It looks like Rex KwonDo has been cut.
KwonDo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McMorrow.
A slow jab from McMorrow misses its intended target.
KwonDo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McMorrow throws out the jab.
McMorrow throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McMorrow misses with a straight left.
KwonDo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McMorrow goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
KwonDo swings away with a body shot that misses
and McMorrow counters with a lovely straight right hand!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
KwonDo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McMorrow moves away.
McMorrow misses the body punch
and KwonDo counters with a right hand to the body.
KwonDo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

KwonDo tries to clinch but McMorrow is having none of it.
A nice leg kick lands there from McMorrow.
McMorrow swings and misses with a shot to the body

and KwonDo counters with a nice double leg into side control. McMorrow won't be happy with that.
McMorrow is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked KwonDo off and has taken his back!

McMorrow patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

McMorrow struggling to land strikes to the head as KwonDo covers up.
McMorrow is not going to allow KwonDo to sit and survive in this position.

McMorrow wants to sweep here but KwonDo controlling him for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
KwonDo shoots in but McMorrow avoids the takedown attempt easily.
McMorrow lands with a good body shot.
Sean McMorrow is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

KwonDo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
McMorrow struggling a bit here.
McMorrow managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by KwonDo.

McMorrow is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked KwonDo off and has taken his back!
KwonDo covering up well under a series of strikes from McMorrow.
McMorrow thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
McMorrow misses with punches from the back.
McMorrow punches the canvas rather than the man.
KwonDo wants to escape the position.
McMorrow throws strikes from the back but KwonDo rolls nicely and manages to end up in full guard. Nice work by KwonDo.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nice takedown defense from McMorrow. No joy for KwonDo on that attempt.
Sean McMorrow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rex KwonDo.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
KwonDo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. McMorrow doesn't seem bothered though.
McMorrow lands with a good body shot.
McMorrow is looking to wear down KwonDo with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
KwonDo looks gassed!
KwonDo slips a straight right by McMorrow.
KwonDo checks a low kick from McMorrow.
McMorrow looks to clinch
and KwonDo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
KwonDo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and McMorrow counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

McMorrow clinches with his opponent.
McMorrow misses with some punches.
McMorrow digs a right hand into KwonDo's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on KwonDo's gas tank.
McMorrow misses with a knee to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sean McMorrow dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Rex KwonDo's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


KwonDo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
KwonDo misses with a jab to the body

and McMorrow counters by moving into the clinch.
McMorrow misses with a hook from the clinch.
McMorrow misses with a short punch on the inside.
McMorrow lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
McMorrow lands a left hand.
A left hand lands to the body for KwonDo.

KwonDo pulls McMorrow into guard.
McMorrow has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
McMorrow working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
McMorrow distracts KwonDo with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
KwonDo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McMorrow throws and elbow that misses. KwonDo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McMorrow's guard. Nice move by KwonDo!
McMorrow is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
KwonDo looking to pass the guard.

KwonDo throwing strikes from guard but McMorrow blocks nicely.
McMorrow wants to sweep here but KwonDo controlling him for the moment.
McMorrow seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
KwonDo preventing the sweep.
KwonDo in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
KwonDo lands a couple of elbows.
KwonDo trying to control but McMorrow is working from the bottom.
KwonDo won't allow McMorrow to sweep him here.
KwonDo wants to control from the top but McMorrow keeps moving.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
KwonDo lands a couple of decent looking shots.
KwonDo advances to half guard.
McMorrow is looking to improve his position.
KwonDo working the head and body with strikes.
McMorrow on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
KwonDo is just content to waste time from the top position. McMorrow takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
McMorrow lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for KwonDo!
KwonDo tries to hold on but McMorrow pushes him away.
KwonDo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McMorrow thowing shots but they're missing.
The referee warns KwonDo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.


That has opened up Rex KwonDo's cut even more.
KwonDo is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
McMorrow sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
McMorrow throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for KwonDo because McMorrow loaded up on that one.
McMorrow lands with some strikes.

Rex KwonDo's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rex KwonDo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Sean McMorrow!
Sean McMorrow retains his heavyweight title!
