The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gelicho rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Gelicho throws a series of punches but Jones moves out of range.
Gelicho misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jones decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gelicho to his feet.

and Jones decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gelicho's guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gelicho is proving hard to escape from.

Gelicho has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Jones should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Gelicho has tightened it up now! Jones should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
